It's Beck singing. The vocals are double-tracked; Relf could have done the other vocal, I'm not sure. Beck sang this one like The Nazz Are Blue (on "Roger The Engineer") which they recorded also as Jeff's Blues and New York City Blues (while Jeff's Boogie is actually a Chuck Berry instrumental). One of only 3 songs recorded in the studio with both Beck and Page. Nazz stands for "Nazarene", i.e.: Jesus; it was slang to mean something really cool, the best. Hence Todd Rundgren's band Nazz (Open Your Eyes was their 1968 hit, the video is: ruclips.net/video/LpLKxOYuXwU/видео.htmlsi=-OWE9izFm_IdsW2L . They got the name from The Yardbirds who had a huge influence on US Garage bands) or Bowie (a big Yardbirds fan) singing in Ziggy Stardust "He was the Nazz/With God-given ass" 🙂

@ I did🙄. If you’re really a yardbirds fan you should question wether or not that is him singing. The guitar doesn’t sound as wild as Jimmy Page was in the 60s. Maybe it’s real but I want more evidence. Is there a Page interview where he talks about this recording? If you know anything about bootlegging you know that there are tons of fakes.

Someone saying Jimmy Page had to ask for chord changes for a two chord song is another reason I question it’s authenticity.

And Page at the end even plays the riff later used for Howe Many More Times, as many noticed in the comments. And don't you know that Robert Caruso actually sang with The Yardbirds? Yeah... I think that actually Dave Edmunds produced this, if memory serves... but Edmunds and Lowe were working together a lot at the time...
